The exhibition features twenty-five works of art created during the last two decades, all part of a recent gift. The artists created a new visual language that embodies aspects of earlier Chinese art while responding to a time of great transition in the wake of Chairman Mao Zedong’s death in 1976 and the ensuing collapse of the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976).
