Teaching with Art
WCMA is the largest classroom at Williams.
We embrace a “teaching state of mind” in everything we do—from gallery tours to public programs—and consider the museum to be a laboratory for creative ideas. We are dedicated to sharing the museum’s extraordinary resources with you. Explore the possibilities available to students, faculty, educators, families, and members of the community.
Get involved with the Museum Associates Program (tour guide), internships, and student activities at the museum.
Teach with art in the galleries or in the museum’s classroom, the Rose Study Gallery. Design classes, exhibitions, and programs that explore the connections between art and your curriculum.
Discuss, create, and explore art with us during school tours lead by Museum Associates, our trained Williams undergraduates. Bring art to your classroom through Teachers’ Workshops, curriculum resources, and the Kidspace program.
Have an art adventure in our Storytime in the Galleries Program for young children and Family Programs for children of all ages.
