It’s your last chance to see Asco: Elite of the Obscure, A Retrospective, 1972–1987 at WCMA. The exhibition will be on view through July 29, 2012. There will be a gallery talk by C. Ondine Chavoya, co-curator and Associate Professor of Art and Latina/o Studies on Thursday, July 19 at 2:00pm. Asco on the Cover of Artforum

Decoy Gang War Victim, a work by Asco, the influential Chicano artist collective from the ’70s and ’80s is on the cover of the October 2011 issue of Artforum. Asco opens at LACMA

Asco: Elite of the Obscure, A Retrospective, 1972–1987 opened September 4th at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). The exhibition, which is co-organized by Williams College Museum of Art (WCMA) and opens here at WCMA February 4th, 2012, is already getting attention in the press with articles in the New York Times and the Huffington Post.
