Last month, we digitized most of Charles and Maurice Prendergast’s sketchbooks. You can view them all if you search the Prendergast section of our collection database, and use the drop down menus to select “Title” and “contains”, and then type “sketchbook” in the last box. Below, you can actually browse through one of them. The sketchbooks allow for some interesting insights into the artistic processes of the brothers, and some are even preliminary sketches for paintings in the museum’s collection. Take a look!
