Myra Greene: Selections from My White Friends
In My White Friends, Myra Greene considers whether a photograph can capture and depict the nuances of whiteness. Greene’s portraits examine her white companions as archetypal figures, a collectivity, and a racial group. The subjects’ physical bodies and the spaces they inhabit signify whiteness as a complex cultural construct that raises questions about status, cultural and racial norms, and privilege.

On the Grid
Drawn primarily from the WCMA permanent collection, On the Grid explores the many manifestations of the grid in art—as a visual framework and as a subject in itself.
Including works by artists such as Agnes Martin, Eadweard Muybridge, and Joseph Cornell, this exhibition challenges viewers to consider the myriad of ways our lives are mediated by grids—from tiled floors to comic books to city streets.
