Drawing Out Your Curiosity

How can drawing be used to express and explore?
For the drawing activity in Kidspace at WCMA: Artistic Curiosity, we encouraged visitors to draw in sketchbooks provided to literally draw out their curiosity. Shells, maces, and artistic sketches served as potential inspiration.

Here are some highlights from the sketchbooks alongside photographs of the objects:

We invited visitors to take the sketchbooks around the gallery. Measured Rest (Rabbit) by Amy Podmore, has been a visitor favorite and makes an appearance in the sketchbooks:

“I used to teach in museums. I work in nature now. Thank you for the opportunity to DRAW!”

Where will drawing take you?
