When Williamstown Theatre Festival relocates to the Berkshires each summer, our team takes over the Greylock Quad section of Williams College. Right smack in the middle of the quad is a fairly substantial metal sculpture that—up until this year—I knew little-to-nothing about.

Thank you to the Debate Society, creators of the 1950s suburban thriller Blood Play, for a great time on the WCMA patio last night. Visitors were treated to show inspired drinks, hors d’ oeuvres and old fashioned entertainment.

This summer I acquired the book In Fine Style: The Art of Tudor and Stuart Fashion by Anna Reynolds, illustrated with paintings from the Royal Collection in Great Britain. I always research current books on clothing and costume history even if it is not a particular period that I need to study for an upcoming theatre production.
