Among my favorite pieces at WCMA is the 12th century Flemish baptismal font that quite literally took up space in the medieval art room – requiring visitors to walk about it. Although at first glance the font appears nondescript, faceted edges and angles create shadows with light.

Outstanding Exhibition Award goes to Sol LeWitt: The Well-Tempered Grid

WCMA has won the 2012 award for Outstanding Exhibition in a University Museum for its exhibition Sol LeWitt: The Well-Tempered Grid. The prize was awarded by the Association of Art Museum Curators (AAMC) at its Annual Awards for Excellence.
