WCMA Co-presents Carrie Mae Weems Exhibition

WCMA and Downstreet Art co-present the exhibition “Slow Fade to Black” by award-winning photographer and artist Carrie Mae Weems. An opening reception will be held at the Legacy Gallery, 28 Holden St., 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 28. The event, which is part of DownStreet Art Thursdays, is free and open to the public.

Giving the Artworks a Voice

The current installation, Expressions, is by Jenny Gersten, Artistic Director of the Williamstown Theatre Festival (WTF). Gersten approached the exhibition by connecting to the art through the medium of theater. She was interested in how artworks express themselves and wanted to endeavor to give the artworks a voice.
